I need not say more... One of the most gorgeous places around... My first trip to Cape Town, South Africa... After being to Johannasburg, Accra (Ghana) and Cape Town... It made me realize how much i really enjoy travelling to Africa and would love to continue exploring that place...

It is such a blessing to have to born into the world... That's to start of with, and to be able to have time off from work for about 10 days to spend my Birthday and Christmas with my Darling and his family as well as New Years with my family... The big guy called God must be the man behind all these coincidences... He's amazing... Thank you..

After flying in to Dubai from Dusseldorf on the 20th Dec, I was in Perth by the 21st early morning and we took a 5 hour drive to Denmark which is a small little town in the country side... With it's gorgeous beaches and friendly environment like most tiny towns... and the weather in our favour, at that moment it felt like it was the best place to be in the world... other than Singapore, of course... They're on Par.. hehe... anyways... Here are the pictures taken with my new DSLR camera Nikon D60 bought by Kai... smilez... He planned such an amazing day for us. 4 wheel bike riding on a privately owned land and beach, romantic picnic with champagne and strawberries while looking at the most magnificent views, swim by the green pools and elephane rocks and ended off with coffee honey ice cream... my favourite.. yum... Thank you darling for the effort.. i love you.

After almost 3 years in Emirates and many times to London, I'm embarrassed to say... I've never been to Central London till yesterday. I must say that i could not have gone on a more perfect day. The sun was shining brightly yet still a little chilly... Went to see the famous Buckingham Palace and it's guards, unfortunately no glimps of the Queen or the handsome young Princes, the Big Ben, had ice cream at London Eye, walked the street of Picadilly Square. It was the perfect day to chill out and enjoying the company of a friend... Enjoy the pictures...

Toronto, Canada... My Best Layover!

Toronto, Canada.

One of the best part of my career, actually the best part of my career is that it takes me to the most amazing places in the world and it allows me to experience what God made for us. The most definately best layover so far, Canada.

3 days here allowed me to plan my time and take things at a stride. I got to see the Niagara Falls, which is one of the most beautiful and amazing places in the world, not to mention one of the 7 Wonders of the World on the first day. The crew and i took a boat called The Maid of the Mist which brought us so close to the falls that the thundering roars of the water was absolutely Cool Man!!!... The view is so beautiful and the weather was perfect. After that, we went the the canadian winery where we had the sweet taste of ICE WINE, which i bought for Kai and myself to enjoy in a few days time. It's actually a sweet wine where the grapes are frozen during winter (-8 degrees) and each grape produces a drop of sweet wine. Sweet!!

The next day, after Sunday Mass, the 5 girls went to watch my ALL TIME FAV. MOVIE OF ALL TIME in theater, DIRTY DANCING. It brought tears to my eyes to be able to enjoy such wonders here and to be blessed with such experiences in the world. The show was so good that i wanna go see it again.

We've got another day tomorrow and i'm waiting to go up the Tallest Tower in Toronto, called, The Tower, and i would have done most of what i needed to before i head back to Dubai .

The Malta Experience

The Malta Experience... It was a warm summer mini 24hour vacation i enjoy with my crew... We visited Valletta, one of the preserved 16th Century historical sites. Before visiting Valletta, we visited the Grand Harbour from the Barraka Gardens... which was so beautiful. We waled a good 2 1/2 hours before stopping for a nice cold Lager and we heading back to have a sumptous meal by another Harbour.

Rottnest Island...

Rottnesst Island... The much needed weekend getaway for Kai and meself... A lovely boat ride down the river of Perth with great views of King's Park and Frementle to mark the start of a lovely secenic weekend...

After our arrival into Rottnest Island, we rented a couple of bikes to get a tour of the main area, Thomson's Bay, dropped in for a cuppa coffee/tea and went for a little tour around... we had a nice view of the church and the bays nearby before heading off to get the key to our Villa located at Long Reach Bay. it was about a 2.2Km ride to our area but it was well worth it... even though it was pouring and cold... Kai and i went on a little adventure.. cutting through the grassy areas forgoing the bike routes and found some really splendid sights... made our way through the lighthouse where we watched the sunset and We went for a nice ride round town again to get some supplies for the night and we popped into a friends' place and had a couple of drinks... Made our way back to our place for a cozy time near the fireplace...

next morning.. after returning the key... we headed out to a little adventure... a Scenic flight over Perth and Rottnest which Kai had planned for me... and boy was i amazed ... He knew my love for aircrafts.. We passed through Perth city and over our home... but the most magnificent was flying low level over Rottnest Island... the clear view of all the Bays and the little villas, beaches and all... simply amazing... and it was one of my best scenic flights (Considering i'm a flight attendant). After the fabulous tour... Kai and i hopped on the tour bus and made our way to one of the bays for a very cold swim... smilez... it was fantastic...

This i must say has been one of the best spontaneous trips i've been on... and to make it even better than it already is... I shared it with someone i truly love... Kai McGuinness...

It's been a while since i last blogged... Lots has been going on with my work and personal life... and i'm not a big fan of blogging lots of my personal life... Travelling, for me has settled down... The enthusiasm has calmed down and i've now enbarked on another life-altering change... which i think would be the most drastic thing i've ever done.. Not as if moving to Dubai for 2 1/4 years has not be life altering enough.. hehe.. but knowing me.. I'm always itching for change in enviroment after a couple of years or so...

I've been spending lots of my time in Perth Australia where my partner lives and just wait out on this space for future blogs... Till then... Enjoy the travel pics and the great music...

My 23rd Birthday.... As usual.. i was late for my own freakin count down and Kai and Suzie ended up wishing me Happy Birthday in the taxi... We arrived to MOS where i met few of my other friends there... was a small group but a nice one... we partied till about 4.30am and i had the biggest surprise for my birthday... Slingshot (as Kai calls it) at Clark Quey at 11 am... i think... it was madness... i could not believe it... and we went for both the shots... the one that

has us swinging from that height and the other that shot us straight into the air... but it was so so fun... lol... and at dinnertime... we went to Uncle Dudley's place for out Christmas Visiting... and it showed Kai the first hand experience about what my family was like... esp during Christmas time... was so so good...

I was back on leave for a couple of weeks and i must say... it's been one of the best holiday i've had... I've had my boyfriend, Kai's mum and partner come down to Singapore for few days. it was a great opportunity to show them where i grew up and my family... and the meeting of both families went so smoothly... even with Kai meeting my family and extended family.. it's been so good... we're both so glad it's over and now it's smooth sailing...

A weekend that was all about me... it was great to get away from work for the weekend and have a great time with Kai in Perth... He had a great plan for the weekend and it was perfect... We went to the adventure park where there were water slides (which was so cool and fun, I was quite amazed that there were so many adults having fun on those things as well.) and funky rides which almost made me throw up (i hate those things, rumbling and tumbling as if i were in a washing machine.. haha)... We ended the evening with hotdogs and coke in the sun trying to get out heartrate back to normal... lol... It was such good fun... and maybe Bunjee Jumping soon on the list... smilez...

Venice, the "City of Canals".. One of the most romantic & dramatic cities in the world... Emirates just started flying there about a month ago and i'm really lucky to one of the first few to visit that destination. Almost all the crew came out that evening but most of us parted ways soon after... We took a boat ride along Canal Gran which brought us to Piazza San Marco and after taking much pictures there.. we walked back to the bazaars of the Rialto where i got many ornuments and masks... drank hot red wine during the cool winter time... It was simply beautiful.. I was crazy enough to walk through 5 degrees with nothing more than a pair of sandals... How smart vickygirl.. after half and hour on the boat.. i couldn't feel my tiny toes... hehe..

This is one of the loveliest places on earth... A romantic getaway destination or just one to chill and relax... which was what i did..the weather was perfect.. the water was a clear blue and green... it wasn't too crowded...

I got up to snorkeling.. thanks to Svan who spoke french and got me a spot on the boat... it was so cool... swimming with all the little fishes and touching the corals... Having Pina Coladas (Virgin) at my balcony which opened to the sand and water... simply amazing and relaxing..

It's definately a place to go back to for Kooie and myself...

Sorry it's been a while since i blogged... there weren't many new places i went to for work.. but i've been discovering Perth, WA... and look out for pictures... smilez...

Dinner first with 10 other crew and one non crew then Partying in Frankfurt in a Gay Club... Who would have imagined... i had one of the best times with the crew on this flight... Let me see.. We have all the Girls.. Melissa, Katelina, (Heba) and myself... and the pretty boys... Jeremy, Robert, Tyron n Ricardo... and our dear lebanese Georges who managed to hit on the waitress... Good stuff to the rest who came out but left early... Heba, Barry (Cap) and Mo (FO)...

For the rest of us... we were just getting started when dinner ended... Drinks at the bar...

Rome.... Such a beautiful city ... with so much History and Architecture... It's definately a place i want to visit again... I visited the Vetican and the famous Colleseum and the Wishing fountain of some sort... it was so crowded.. with people tossing all their coins and wishing... i ate pizzas and pastas, ate gelatos and drank good wine... absolutely splendid... though 24 hours... it was went spent... smilez..

Zurich.... What a great layover... Which ended with a blast... Literally... smilez... The crew was great and the weather was perfect... was a little chilly till the sun came up and it was warm and breezy... The crew and i took a paddle boat out to the lake and it was one of the simpliest yet nicest things i've done on a layover... Eddy (SFS) and i were doing the paddling for one hour and we had 3 more crew down the back enjoy and basking in the sun... haha... it was great fun... taking photos and getting splashed by the fountain... on which we saw a beautiful rainbow...

Chilling out in Sydney... It was a really fun night... Did the very long 8 day Bkk- Syd flight and i had the best time... fantastic crew, fabulous food and lots of shopping.... it felt like a mini holiday...

I had dinner at the Sydney Harbour with my really cool SFS, Badar and my goodness... the Operah House did look really huge up close and personal... smilez... the best part though was asian food in Bangkok... Let me tell ya... Seafood Pineapple Rice with Tom Yum Soup, accompanies by steamed squids with Chili and Lemon as well as 10 oysters.... that was one of the most fulfilling parts of this layover. and i got to enjoy it with Hajar, Miss Tunisia... who absolutely loves Chili.... Shila, Iba & Kristie... we had a great time together as well...

Much weet love... It's great to be back in Dubai though..

Seychelles...

Most of you know how i worship the island of Seychelles... It's stunning sunsets, clear blue beaches and gorgeous sceneries... not mentioning the food, drinks and the great company of my crew.. We had 4 days there at seychelles and that was a holiday to remember...

The days pretty much went like this... Swimming, lots of swimming and tanning, Dinner as a crew and drinks after that except on day 3. A hugh group of us went for the boat trip which took up most of the day. The boat picked us up at about 10.30am and we were on our way to another part of the island... there was so much nature to see and absorb.. Hills and bodies of water... large Rocks... and we arrived on the little island also known as the "Blue Logoon" according to the boatman.. there we did some snorkling, discovered a fresh water queary which was warm at the bottom and cold at the top, did some BBQ.. Baracuda, Squid Curry, Pork Sausages and salad.. with White and Red wine.. some coconuts and bananas for dessert. Unexpected but it Was a sumptous meal. Soon we moved to another island and there we had so much fun as well.. Crashing waves and tiny pebbles on the sand... i saw a stingray more schools of fishes and even larger Rocks... by the end of the day.. when it was time to pack up and leave... most of us were tired and just relaxed on the way back..

over all those days.. i managed to do some sailing.. went on the speed boat(which i hurt myself badly trying to get on), went snorkling and so many other things which is for only myself to keep.

Finally... thanks Mr. Lourens for saving myself from swollowing another gallon of salt water out at sea... Appreciate it loads..

Been a little while since i last blogged... i was home, spent quality time with my family, friends and My Shun.. and i went for few flights.. one of which i will never forget in my entire life..

We flew the Melbourn Via Singapore trip with 4 crew short, and minimum rest... with me operating in Business Class with another crew short.. 2 down in economy and the the flist class crew are actually business class trained... FULL FLIGHT!! it was a great experience.. working under pressure under these unexpected circumstances, we did great.. and i really hope that the company acknowledge it. (not sure if they might). on the good side.. i received my first ever love note from a First Class Greek Passenger who wanted to tak e me out to one of the most expensice and exquisit restaurants in Melbourn. He was shocked by my rejection.. hehe... and that "hurt" cause him to write a note to me... Haiz... Men!..

anyways... been spending lots of time with Ema, Kenneth & Audrey... Fun la!.... Morning till night... Nice!!... here are some pictures from The Lodge... we had a great time... including Miss Fala... Muacks!..

Sometime i sit and wonder how HE does it... Drops something out of somewhere to answer someones questions bout life... read on to understand... i feel this answet is for lots of ppl esp me...

The Fern and the Bamboo

One day I decided to quit... I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life.I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"His answer surprised me..."Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?" "Yes", I replied. "When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bambooseed. But I did not quit on the bamboo". He said. "In the third and fourth year on, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit." He said. "Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."

He said to me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots. I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you. Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern, yet, they both make the forest beautiful."Your time will come! "God said to me. He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

I left the forest and brought back this story. I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you. Never regret a day in your life. Good days give you happiness. Bad days give you experiences. Both are essential to life. Keep going... Happiness keeps you Sweet,Trials keep you Strong, Sorrows keep you Human,Failures keep you humble, Success keeps You Glowing, but Only God keeps You Going.................. Amen!

Recently in London... one of Emirates's most porpular destinations... flying to heathrow airport 4 times a day..

it's the first time i ever saw falling snow and it's definately a moment that i would remember... feeling like a little girl... walking down from the aircraft and there it was... showers of little white dust falling from the sky... and i just put my hand out and enjoyed that feeling of happiness...

It's one of the most beautiful layovers ever but the most tiring flight back... my goodness.... I had a 24 hour layover in Nice but some crew and myself.. we went up to Monte Carlo to walk by the Marina and the restaurants.. The view of the boats and cars were amazing. but the most beautiful was the horizon and the castles... it's where the rich come to spend time and indulge... as usual.. when i'm in France... i have to have Froi Gras... once again.. it was a sumptous bite... here are some pictures...

The Wonderful Year of 2006

This is the year that I accomplished the most in one year… and I really mean the most.

I made it to my dream job of flying with Emirates Airline and every flying day I’m having the most fulfilling experience when I visit each city in the world…
I’ve been to so many places… such as Brisbane, Perth, Munich, Birmingham, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Ghana, Beijing, Korea, Johannesburg, Shanghai, London, Scotland, Colombo, Seychelles, Paris, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Moscow and many others… and each place has it’s own unique touch to it…

Dubai has been great and a nice stopover so far in my life… I don’t plan to make it a permanent place that I’ll settle in but it’s a nice long layover in my life.. The non stop partying scene and the beautiful places and the most unimaginable things coming to life… to watch this place being built into something so significant in the world.. I’m kinda lucky to be living here while she’s growing..

This whole experience made me learn to love my family so much more and makes me appreciate all of them (inc my cousins and aunts etc). I look back at all the wonderful things that God has given me through them… I can’t thank HIM enough. It makes me want to give them more and more in life… and my li’l sister who is going away.. I’m gonna miss her… a lot.. We just moved to Yishun too… after about 9 years in Woodlands… And my friends who know me and love me… You’re a Diamond to me.. Thanks! *Hugs*

My relationship was being tested while I was away from my true love, Yong Shun.. and in so many ways.. We were being hit left and right and we fell so many time… but when we pray and when there is so much love between two people… you just hang on.. and move on.. I pray that after all these trials, we’ll achieve what we planned for our future together.. I learnt a lot about us… I love you.. so much, never too much, so much..

I also had my first tattoo too… it’s a fairy on my right shoulder blade… that was a cool experience and it’s contagious… haha.. I’m looking to get more.. Hmmm…

Lastly.. Though I was not spending Christmas at home with my family… not many people can proudly say… “Hey, I was climbing the Great Wall of China on Christmas Day 2006!”… So that’s wonderful for me and New Years in the Air.. it’s not what I was expecting it to be but yeah.. I’m consoling myself on that one..

All in all it’s been a great year of so many experiences and both good and bad… I’m thirsting for more in life in 2007 and I hope to be blessed with it… To experience more of the world and discover America… North and South.. Most importantly… is to be Happy and to make my family Happy. Thanks you Lord for everything…

Christmas in Beijing..

Hey you guys who reads my blog... it's been more than a month and a half sinced i blogged... i was back home on leave for about 2 weeks.. I just moved back to Yishun from Woodlands and 'was helping my dad out with the painting and the whole process...

I also got myself my first tattoo... one which i always wanted.. a fairy... and i sparked the tattoo craze amongst my cousins and coupld of days later about 8 of them went down to my tattoo artist and got more than 12 tattoos done collectively... wow... great business...

my cousin & God Sister, Laura got married too... Congrats darling! Suz promised she'll catch your bouquet and she did.. hehe..

i received the most beautiful Christmas gift from my Darling Shun... thank you baby...

My sister left for Lansing, Michigan on the 23rd Dec... God Bless her journey..

Home was great to re-energize... really... meeting some friends and my family... was beautiful..

I spent Christmas in Beijing and boy was that fun... about 12 of us crew went to the restaurant for a Christmas dinner and there was lots of shopping before that... i had the most intellectual conversations with them in a long long time, (air crew i mean) over red wine and great food... it was an even better day on Christmas day... I Visited the Forbidden ity and the Great Wall of China... Amazing... and it was so cold and i felt as if my nose and hands were gonna fall off... 6 of us crew went... and it was great... beautiful memories and it's got to be my best layover to date...

Hey guys... how are you? I did an amazing thing when i was in johannasburg and thanks to a crew who dragged me along... we went to the Lion Park together... it was about a 40 minute drive from the Hilton hotel but it was so worth it...

Playing with lion cubs and having so much fun with them... they resemble little cats... which they are though they bite a little harder and they weigh alot heavier and they're paws are alot bigger but still cute....

They were full of life when we visited... and i saw so many everyday things that these big cats do... From... Playing to Mating... Eating to Drinking... Peeing to Crapping... hehe.. Climbing trees and logs as well as to conclude that these cats can climb high but are afraid to come down... i caught it on video... and pictures... we were at arms length with the big cats but we got full on with the baby ones...

It really is something to remember and i'll definately go back again ... but this time to the crocodile farm and the Elephane Park...
Love the wildlife in Johannasburg... with Amarula in my bag too... Sure is something i'll never forget...

Colombo.... A place i expected it to be ... But not all was expected... as you can see.. i was having a lovely time at the beach.... the rocks were amazing.. and the Horizon so far away... i managed to capture the moment of a beautiful sunset and just sank into the horizon... wow... and the view was from my hotel room...
The Elephant Orphanage is next on my list to visit... Would be interesting... really... smilez..

The Greatest Thing in life is Family... The sense of belonging one feels to know that no matter what happens in life... it's your family that's gonna pull you up when you fall down and people you can count on to say a 'li'l prayer for you...

MOS... With Suz, Val and Jank Jank... A fun night it was... being Happy and Having fun... Haven't clubbed in Singapore for a really long time man... And thanx for the great company Jank Jank at dinnertime... and Bowling.. and Pool.... was really fun... And Double Trouble... Pls Stay o0ut of trouble and don't give me a big Headache... BOTH OF U!!... haha... i'm kidding... i love u both... !

i just came back from a 10 day trip back home and it wasreally rejuvinating as i was flying too much last month.. more than needed... and it was a great time for me to relax and spend time with my family and my boy and my friends... Godma organized a Steamboat dinner for all 13 of us... including Val and Shun... (Jarell's and my partner) and there was Feww flow of Jack and White and Red Wine... and the two little ones had their own sparkling juice to imitate the adults... i remembered when i was younger... the family that gathered around the tree during Christmas Night to have dinner and open presents... it was the best feeling ever... to gather everyone out their busy schedule to come together and be happy... and i'm so glas that my dad came... though he was working till 7pm... it certainly was a night to remember and i hope thatduring this Christmas.. i would be in town to enjoy the sense of belonging all over again at Andre', my Godma's restaurant. With the same... Good Food.. Good Wine... Good Company..

Last but not least… I want to wish the best of luck to a 2 dear friends of mine… who just became.. Mr and Mrs Dominic Chan…. With much love to you both and lovely Ashley… I’m so glad to have been there for you both.. smilez…. What God Put Together, No Man Shall Bring Apart! …

With the Oktober Fest that was going on and the carnival... Munich was a great time to visit at this time of the year... and it goes on for about 3 weeks... it was a whole lot of drinking beer and dressing up (funnily) and eating pork sausages.... boy was it so so fun....
the atmosphere was great.. with everybody... young and old having drunk fun...
the best part of it all was that... NOT one of these Drunk F***s were fighting at all... how cool is that...
imagine this in Singapore... all the Gangs will be running around with Parang cause he was starring at someone's girlfriend... it wasn't like this at all.

it's a place i really like alot and would love to visit again... the air is fresh... the place was chilli... i love it...

it's always great to be home... but not great when you're stuck in a place u wanna be but u can't... and you have to spend a bomb getting back to a place you DON't wanna be... Get my drift?...

i ws stuck in Singapore for 2 extra days and running around with Is, Jun and Yana trying to get out asses back to Dubai... not that we actually wanted to get back but ya....
and S$1400 for a flight ticket back when i'm a crew is not fun... that's what u get when you're on standby tickets...

other than that horrible news.... i just got back from a flight back to Singapore and it was lovely... it was time well spent with family and friends and Shun... Shun just had his Passing out Parade today... (proud of u dear) .. Mr Commando man may be a Medic... and i finally met his parents.. officially... i've met them few times... but never like this before... and it was not bad at all... his mother made me feel very comfortable and she's a really sweet woman...

I spend some time with Uncle Lawrence and his Family and saw Godman and Jarell too.. i miss these family gatherings tremendously... and it felt so good to play with the kids...whenever i'm back.. the thought of leaving always hurts... here are some nice pictures....

There's nothing... absolutely nothing better than Home!... and being surrounded by the ppl you love and who loves you...

Seychelles... the island in between Africa and India... somewhere near Mauritus and Male.. It's absolutely beautiful... for a holiday... wish i could bring my Shun here on day for a romantic getaway... the water was great... the view was pictureques the sunset was magnificent, dinner was certainly sumptious and the walk on the beach under the stars was the ultimate closure of the layover....

it's a place to relax and have a wonderful holiday... hope to get a 4 day seychelles soon so i could just take it that i'm on a holiday by myself... the beach.. this beach is just meters from the hotel.. just a walk away... i love Seychelles... i know you'll love it too...

Paris... Gosh i love Paris.. this is my second time here and once again, i'm so captivated by everything that i see... from the way the french go making out in the middle of nowhere (i've seen alot do that) to the way their historical architectures hold such deep history and meaning... it's great to be here again...
The few famous places that i visited were.. Arc De Triumphe.. Eiffel Tower.. The Louvre.. The Notre Dame & the Galerie Lafayette.. it's beautiful.. it's romantic.. it's one of the place that i would love to visit over and over again... next time when i'm there ... i'm gonna take the boat ride and go up the Eiffel Tower... at Night! ... it's gonna be a magnificent scenery... come watch it with me..!

I almost wanted to quit my job and take a flight back.

yes it's true... i almost quit my job and wanted to take the next flight back to Singapore to be with my family. i was on a flight to Hong Kong on the 3rd August 2006. and as most of u might know. there's a typhoon there. we were asked to be sitted on our jumpseats 45 minuted prior to landing which was pretty unusual ( it's usually 15 mins).

then it came.. the turbulance... and we had to circle around Hong Kong twice because of air traffic, i reckon before landing. and the winds were so strong and the rain slamming the fuselage of the plane. I was sitting af the aft of the aircraft facing forward so i could see everything that was happening. it felt as if the fuselage might break into two or the winds were going to blow us off course the runway. the passengers were getting sick by then and i felt as if my tummy was going upside down.

i really thank God for a great Captain, cause he managed to get all of us on ground safely. and i almost cried.i said prayers of thanks and then i realise that what i thought about this job was true.. it's not always smooth sailing. that's y we're being paid so much... it's such a high risked job in the air depending on the aircraft & pilots (and GOD) to get us safely from one place to another. the day after that, more than 700 flights were delayed and i had another 12 hours in Hong Kong.

it was one hell of an experience and something i wish to never be a part of again. (hey, who am i kidding, it comes with the job!!)

It was almost impossible to get 7 cabin crew who are free on the same weekend to go for the experience together... it was something different... instead of malls and nightclubs... we're in a freakin desert... and boy... we had so much fun...

Marina, Katherin, Mummy, Siti, Fala and Amir, Mel and Dom and myself.. When i got back from Saudi Arabia...

We went up and down the Dunes and saw camels and took many pictures... of Sunsets and went Camel riding and Henna done... the Finale was a performance by a belly dancer after a BBQ buffet... all for just SD70... i'll try to up load some videos so u guys can take a look..

Budi always clubs there and infact he and another guy, AJ always bring us into the club... those ladies enter for free and have free flow of drinks... some are turned away cause it's to crowded.. Dom had a great kinki dance from all there of us gals... (Dom is Mel's Fiance and Fala and I are her Bridesmaid).

it was during the World Cup season where Germany was gonna play.... someone... i forgot... that i was there in Frankfurt... i expected the atmosphere to be really exciting but it was otherwise... maybe it's cause i was in the town... but anyways...

Germany was interesting... they love to have loads of waterfalls around... i spotted 3 in the town area... and they were interesting looking too... take a look at the pics... then u'll know.. the view from outside the hotel overlooking the town was beautiful..

there're lots of churches and triangle top houses... but Bermingham had more... the air was fresh and clean... i felt as if my lungs had a burst of life... the air in dubai is terrible...

another 2 places i would love to visit is Dusseldoff and Hamburg...

hey everyone...
so much has happened these past month... and i'm sure whne u guys keep looking at my blog... nothin was updated...

i've been to newer places and seen many new faces... of the world...
one of those is Bermingham...

I met my relatives whom i haven't seen in 10 years.. My Aunt Michelle... the last time i met her was when she came down to Singapore when she was 21 years old... 10 years ago... and how.. i've been blessed with the opportunity to see her... and her two lovely kids... Alicia and Aaron... and my nana too...

Did i tell u i had curry puffs for tea, black pork sauce, chilli chicken and cornbeef stew for dinner... all home made... nothin' s better then home cooked food... a taste of Singapore away from Singapore... how fantastic... and my nana made Carrot cake and a huge Chocolate cake for dessert.. smilez... i know.. i'm the envy of all grandchildren.

the day ended with me spending the night a Aunt. Michelle's place with the kids... The kids were very very excited and happy to see me... they are lovely angels... Aunt Michelle and i did lots of catching up and i showed her lots of photos... i really miss her and the kids now...

i promise that this would be done more often then before... cause 10 years is way too long especially when family's the most important...

P.s: i look terrible cause i just got back from a 7 hour flight and i was up since 1 am dubai time that morning... smilez...

Hey everyone... It's great to be back... though i couldn't squeeze meeting everyone during my stay... it was great meeting everyone i could so far.. 27th May to 9th June... it's too soon... i'm going back to Dubai so soon and i'm not ready... :(

Firstly...I came home to settle some personal issues that have occured along the way... Being away from home for long time is never easy and everyone misses this girl... so i had to spend some time with my family and my shun..

Went Clubbing quite a bit when i came back... with Fala and her friends... who was in town.. great time we had girl... was out with Suz, Val and my friends whom i haven't seen since Christmas... met up with my best mates, NIck and Jank Jank for dinner at Brewerks... Great Night Guys!.. out for movie and drinks with my huneyz, Joey and Nurul..... at Harry's ... and another lovely night with Val at Harry's....
had my Hair done and my facial done with my mummy and again with my sista and val in JB... more shopping... hehe... Got back home today from meeting my Shun and the brotherhood as well as my juniors from SPSU 47th Council... amazing how time flies.. wow... got plans for dinner tomorrow at my Godma's restaurant and a going away party for Sharifye and The Boys who are going to army soon...Jack, Senthil, Guna and Shun..
and Lunch with Mdm Tan and Biao... smilez.. i miss her talks... and drinks with Mei and Liz soon.. i hope.. smilez...

basically... i had fun and i really miss home.. i wish i had a month to stay... it'll so much better...

Sweet Taste of Africa

My First Taste of Africa... to Ghanna... Accra..

I came with a stereotyped mindset that this was going to be a terrible layover..
i was called out at 5.00am for a flight that was due to leave at 7.45am.. and there i was... going to africa.. this trip is such that it's from DXB-ACC(48HRS)-ABJ-ACC(24HRS)-DXB ... which means i had 3 whole days in Accra..

the rainforst tour was something i wanted to do but having to drive 4 hours there and back wasn't really my cuppa tea... so i my crew and i decided to give that a pass.. but i'm definately going for it another time. they have the canopy walk.. which is something i really wanna do..

so we went to the market instead... where they sold lots of craft and fabric... but i bought some african craft for my home and we met some really frienly shop keepers. the one in the picture.. and the during the drive to the market.. i was suprise to see people walking on the streets near traffic lights wanting to sell stuff so they could earn something... like crackers, fruits, calender?!? and maps, newspapers.. and even the disabled were on wheelchairs begging for money to eat...

the first night.. we went to Golden Tulip.. which is the other crew hotel and but.. the ambience was beautiful... dinner by the poolside with an african band playing to music such as Bob Marley and Carlos Santana... and we experienced the sweet taste of dancing to african music... i loved it!!..

clubbing was really fun and not what i kinda expected too... it was like a prostitute club that we went too and everyone seems to love dancing with their reflection ... they don't dance with each other.. they look at mirrors and dance... which was so funny ... another club i went to... we played pool and i had people buying me drink and loads of dancing and fun... we met up with the other crew from arista air (i think).. a UK airline and the crew were fantastic as well...

Overall.. my african experience was great.. the people are really friendly and they speak very good english, i must say... i like it and i' definately going back there...

Sin - Bne - Auk

Hey you guys.. been quite a while since i blogged... i've been home and to brisbane... it was a long 9 day trip but i loved every minute of it... esp Brisbane... William (Will) and i had a wonderful time touring around and visiting places... we took the boat ride (city cat) around and the houses and yatches were beautiful... i love the air there too.. was so clean and fresh... and my goodness... we just kept drinking when we went on our layover... it was amazing... cosmo and baileys...

on our first 48 hours there ... we met up with the other crew and we went clubbing... it was this open window club playing house music... we met a few of their gay friends... and my goodness..they were getting it on there... what's more... we went to a gay nightclub there... haha... it was one experience for me and it was so fun and funny... the next night before flying to Aukland... Will and i went to the pub called THE PLATFORM, just along the streets of the hotel and they were playing jazz music... it reminded me so much of my dad and how i wish he was there to have a drink with me... i really enjoyed myself..
the next time i go down, i'm definately going to go to Gold Coast which is just a train ride down from brisbane...

i love austrailia... though it's the first time i'm there... i'd love to visit Melbourn, perth, sydney and back to brisbane again... love it...

hey.. i'll be coming home soon... for 2 days. .. it's my first trip back since i came here and i'll be able to see my family, friends and boyfriend... i'll be going to the Singapore - Brisbane - Auckland flight which is for 9 days (2nd to 11th) and and i'll be in Singapore on the 3rd and 10th. my friend William (Will)in the pic will be joining me too... but i'll be back once again on the 27th May for 13 days.. so i'm looking forward to that too. and i'm really really happy.. smilez...

hey u.... how's life been? i've missed u loads... flying has been treating me fairly well.. always having to be pleasant and smiling... been to the neighbouring countries in UAE and to Shanghai...it was raining and foggy in Shanghai for the entire layover we were there.. so it was rather unfortunate... but i had fun buying all the DVDs and a trench coat for when i ly to cold regions...

u know guys... i felt the most amazing feeling when i was at the airport in Shanghai... the moment the Emirates Cabin Crew came through the customs... almost every passenger present were looking at us in awe and admiration and lots of smilez.... the same feeling i felt when i was looking at Emirates Crew last time... and i felt so proud of myself and for Emirates...

i'm off to Bangkok and Hong Kong Next week... i've got a long 5 day break... looking forward to more exciting places soon...

i took my first sick day today... i woke up this morning at 1.30 am and my vision was blurred at my right eye... even after 1 whole min... it didn't get back to normal... i totally freked out and that cause me to almost faint... i washed my eye with the Eye Bath and still it was not ok... call some important ppl and they advised to go to the hosp ASAP!!.. i went and the doc said that i was fine and maybe my headache affected my eye somehow... *i doubt it*... but i'm feeling better now... thanks...

another things... since i was home ... i watched 5 seasons of Sex and The City.. OH MY GOODNESS!!!.... it's freking addictive and i couldn't believe that Singapore's now airing it...

I MISS HOME!!!.... but i'm enjoying myself here and i love flying... these 1 1/2 months has been really life changing and knowledgable... i've made so many close friends from let's see.... MIss SOuth Africa (Frinkie), Miss Australia (Janika), Miss Denmark (Ann), Mis Hungary (Imola), Miss Philippines (Andrea), Miss SOuth Korea (jenny)... and loads more... i really love the dinner parties that we have for one another.. it's gonna be tough when we start flying... but we gotta keep trying... i love my class, AB 831 and all my trainers... Nabeel, Julie, Andrea and Kiren.. They are amazing ppl and u would love to see them online...

all the stuff about shopping and getting our hair done and our nails done too sounds so cliche... but hey... it's really happening here... the flying experience is great... i had an ownership of a door on my first suppy flight and got a chance to open and close the Airbus door for my second flight... and i got to sit in the cockpit for ALL take offs and Landings...i tell u... ppl... it's one hell of an experience that i would remember.... i love my work.. my job... i love it totally other then the fact that i have to leave my family and friends... i miss them so much.. but i know they're happy for me...

i enjoyed my graduation from training college and we went for a buffet and clubbing with our trainers... it was so much good fun...

Lizzy came to dubai and i was so excited to meet her here... we spent a day together... going shopping and having our "girl" talk abd laughing with fala... thanks babe for everything... *lovez...

hey all .. it's been a while since i blogged.. i've been so busy... Training has started and this two weeks are really important... i have to pass them well if not i cannot become a Cabin Crew with Emirates... The SEP= Standard and Emergency Procedures are really important and we actually get to do the real thing in the Simulator... it's really really cool, i tell you.. smilez... we have to act out real life scenarios and people actually make lots of mistakes there... we actually ca go blank and forget procedures... that's y they keep saying... Make your mistakes here and not out there...

here are soe pictures of the simulator and the overalls that we have to wear.... we tried the slide today .. in case of an evacuation... really cool stuff...

i'm enjoying my time here.. i'm studying well ... we've got homework... believe it... Basic aeronautics, etc...

The Place to be..

You know.. it's really appaling how fast these buildings are coming up... reminds me of what Donald Trump would build... the structure is great and the design is beautiful... there's one with a pointed tip at the top.. it looked as if we were sending a satellite signal to space or something ... and there's really more buildings coming up and it's really fast...

there's one actually in the process of construction and i'm waiting to see if it's taller than my building... smilez.. hehe

it's lovely to live in Dubai... i love the fact that i am blessed to have a great family, a wonderful boyfriend, great friends and a fantastic job that pays me well... i am truely blessed by God...
i'm happy living on my own and taking that chance to make a drastic change in my life and to move out of my comfort zone... it's really hard to do that considering that i'm close to my family and my baby... so.. it was really hard to deal with initially.. but with SKYPE and the microphone and webcam.. i'm able to sat least talk to Shun... it still gives me the taste of home.. i'm really confused here and i feel pretty lost actually... cause everythings' so new.. i don't know the different culture and the type of ppl here.. i'm moved from a different environment, change of friends, new weather and living on my own.. it's pretty stressful and i can't really it in that i'm still here in Dubai... My housemate is great and realy nice.. she's from lebanon...

i'm still pretty confused about everything.. but i'm sure things will turn out fine ... like they always do... i'm starting School ( yes! School!!) on 22nd.. which is today... it's about safety on board and to fight fire and that sort... ya... i'm really excited.. and once again i'm tested to be independent..

nevertheless.. Trust in the Hands of the Lord...

A Ski Resort in the Mall.. how cool is that!

it just keeps getting better... Fala, Susan (nonya) and i went to Emirates Mall yesterday and we shopped till 12 am... it closed at that time... and boy was i amazed by the Size of the shopping centre... it was undescribably hugh... with so so may turns and sections in the Mall... best of all.. besides a playgroud in the food Court of CITY MALL... EMIRATES MALL has a SKI RESORT!!!...

hot amazing could that get... i tell you.. i'm gonna give it a try sometime soon... there were kids planing on the snow slides and some skiing up and down as well as just playing snow fights... and goodness... Dubai is a bloody desert.. and they have a resort here... wow... really...

another new discovery... PASTAMANIA Dubai... i'm so happy... i finally found something next to home ... and i met up with the manager there and got my 30% disc there too.. smilez.. it's great to have familiarity here in a foreign land...

During training today... i realize there's alot more stuff to do here... i'm gonna check it out soon.. the Desert Safari and alot more...

there's so many construction going on and the buildings that are coming up and really beautiful though it's just the foundation that they're building.. give it another 5 years.. and they'l be so much more to see...

I like this place.... but there're no trains and public buses... it's just taxis and more taxis.. and they go as fast as racing cars... (literally.) ... the food's really expensive.. but other than that... my goodness.... they even have a children's playgroud in the food court... and it's freaking hugh...

i love the view from my window.. but i wish they would clean the exterior of the window... i'm overlooking more buildings... ( look at my friendster)... the beach is FANTASTIC!!... clear waters and fishes.. i swam with them... so cool... and the horizon right before your very eyes... it's great.. really... i love the weather... it's a must to have sunglasses but it's so chilly... not humid at all.. it's supposedly winter time now.. so, ya... wait till summer comes...

i have yet to try my rooftop swimming pool and gym.. the famous mall here is City Centre.. and it's a $7.50 taxi fare away from my place... they've got CaREfore.. so i got most of my electronic stuff from there... blender, rice cooker and loads of other stuff....

i'm having a nice time with my friends but i miss you and i miss home, my mum and sista and daddy and my ShUn! muacks..... it's great that i've got connection.. i'm tapping on someone elses connection.. hehe...

anyway.. i've got to go.. school starts early tomorow... at 6.50 am transport's coming....

I'm In Dubai..

Thanks Liz for driving us there and my parents back.. love ya loads... and everyone who sent me off... appreciate it lots... thanks Shun for u know what... muacks..

i touched down to Dubai on 0530 Dubai time which is about 0930 Singapore time.. it's so chilly cold here and it's nice.... reminded me of Japan.. but i have yet to go out yet... it's about 1130.. i think.. all the clocks are wrong... hehe... the food on board was nice... i actually liked it... cheese and beef with bread and muffins etc..

i just finished unpacking and i tell you the view from my aparment is fantastic.... i'm at the 43rd floor of the 21st Century Tower.. http://www.emporis.com/en/wm/bu/?id=186985 go check out the place... it's fully furnished and totally air conditioned... but the lamp is not working.. hehe... i have a hugh cupboard and a hugh bed... sadly i can't share it with my baby..

Mikey did my cheese cake on Saturday, 11th February... that's when i got all my UNION friends over... see previous entry...

Joseph got my the ice Cream Basket from Gelera after a sumptious meal at Sakae Sushi on the 12th February... treated by Matthew Tjow.... Oh.. His wifey's pregnent... *Congrats... Thanks for the great time we had catching up and meeting up before i leave.... i'll see a little tjow when i return at the end of the year huh!..

later that evening... after church.. Suz and i went to Andre.. my Godma's restaurant... and there.. i was so happy... i had my final Yu sheng before i leave Singapore and my Godma's boss did a big one for me... it was really great.... thank you lots, Godma... Dinner was good too.. with "snails", cauliflower soup, for gras, tenderloin and cream brulee.. with 3 bottles of red wine... really great dinner i had... thank you...

on the 13th Feb.. i met up with my girls .. Lizzy and Amei... i had a nice relaxing time chilling at Acid Bar... it's a cool joint... go check it out... and there.. the girls treated me to a "BLOWJOB" .. it's a shooter and it tasted so good... i loved it immediately... like baileys but it was stronger and whipped cream on top... we had to cover the bloody cup with out mouth like we're giving a uh hmm... and ups the drink.... thanks girls for the wonderful evenin... and my sis, jarell and val for the photos and the company..

14th feb... the big VALENTINE'S day... smilez... the dessert platter was from this japanese place at Great World... the meal costed a bomb but it was worth every cent... thank you darling... for spoilling me rotten... i love you...

I finally got my contract last night ... and it was so long... goodness... i'll be leaving singapore on the 16th Deb at 0230hr. check in at 2330hr.. been waiting for this moment... and i'm gonna leave everyone here in Singapore....

I'm finally going..

The medical results were in today and i got a look at my large lungs and heart... and i've got another injection into my arm... Hep A.. My total medical bills costed me... let's see... $378 + 78.something = $456.something.. and it's NON REFUNDABLE...!!! can u believe it.. we i can't... Hey!1.. i got throught to Emirates.. Praise the Lord!!

anyway.. it's benificial for me as i'll be insured 24 hours worldwide.. so this is a little investment..

My flight's on the 16feb.. i've yet to get the time cause i haven't fax the medical report over yet... but stay tuned.. i'll let u know...

My First Digital Camera

After so many months.. i Finally got my first Digital Camera.. I've been using my Olympus Film Camera for ages.. bought that with my first pay cheque about 4 years ago.. and till today.. it's still doing great.. but i'm in need for a change... to keep up with new technology... (ya right!!)..
anyway...I got a CANON IXUS I ZOOM... the red one.. Ah Shun got me a really good deal at Sim Lim (Song Brothers) and we got it together... a good $530.00.. Worth it? Let me know what u think..

i hope to update my photo album with photos of my family members and friends before i leave for Dubai. then i'll be filling it up with pictures and places that i've been..

Unfortunately.. i've fallen ill. Dad's on mc, Shun is sick too.. He's left for Indonesia early this morning.. and the first thing he called to ask was "Dear, What perfume do u like?" and i was like.. "Huh!.. i have tons of perfume and u wanna get me more?" DUTY FREE!!!.. Anyways, he's a real diamond to keep..

waiting to go for my vaccinations.. i've got like 5 or 6 to go for.. Man!.. i hate those injections.. makes me feel woosy.. My appointment date is with Fala, i think.. 3rd Feb (friday)

The Call Finally Came Through..

The call came through on the 24th January 2006 at 7.44pm from +97142032625.. I MADE IT THROUGH... i'm so so excited.. but the reality that i would be leaving my family, friends and my Yong Shun soon set in.. But i have faith in God and he has been showing me this way since last december... it's like.. everything fell in place and it's so in order, it's pretty amazing.. from the going online to view the recruiting date, 30th Dec 2005 to everything else..

i'll be going for my medical test next week after Chinese New year and i hope that everything goes well with that... i really hope so.. hehe... .

I'll be leaving Singapore on the 16th February 2006 and i think it's an early morning flight. i'll be bring my laptop with me so i still can be contacted.. No Worries about that.. and i'll keep updating my blog with pictures and videos, if possible.. ok...

Todays's also the day that i tendered my resignation for Pastamania (Causeway Point), as of today, i would have been working there for 3 years and 9 months. Now, that's a really really long time.. I love the food and i love the people there.. i'll go to dubai and have more pastamania ( they have an outlet there)... it's time for me to move on after all these years.. but that's the place where i've been groomed.. *Pasta peeps.. remember me ok.. and all the good times we shared*

Fala Made It To Emirates..

I love japanese food... especially unagi and all the sushi and sashimi and tempure and handrolls.. i'm a real sucker for jap food.. can have it anyday and never get sick... my darlin and i just spent $54 there and were left with $5 bucks our wallets.. hehe.. but it was a grat meal man..

It was actually kinda like a celebration.. Cause Shun's FYP project received a Gold Award for the SPinnovex.. it was up for the LTAs presentation.. so proud of his efforts and that of his team mates.. he even sacrificed SO MUCH TIME with me for that project.. hehe.. i'm not complaining darling... Muacks.. hehe..

Pool & Supper

Today... Work was alright... Pretty boring ... but in the evenin, Nick, Vic, Jank Jank and I went to play pool at Orchid Country Club... and that was fun.. it's been eons since we last played and we were all totally off form.. haha... i managed to win nick so u can imagine how off form he was.. and i'm already super pathatic in pool...
I remember how it was during our Year 1 days in SP... We're at a pool hall every other day and even during exams... Jurong East entertainment Centre.. the nearest... hehe
After that we went for supper... that was like 11pm.. at the fried oysters were pathatic... $3.oo = 3 oysters.... tsk tsk... Boycotting that place already....

But nevertheless.. it was really great catching up with my Sec Sch classmates... we're really great friends... Also, the wait for my results are killing me.. i'm up till 3am thinking about it.. cause it's usually the weekends that they'll call.. Dubai's Thrusdays and Fridays are their weekends so i'll prob get the call on Saturdays or Sundays.. i'm so nervous about it...

One Place i would love to go back to... Japan...

I went on an exchange programme to Japan in May 2004... about a year and a half back.. but till this very day... i still remember what i was like there... living with my Host.. my "family"... i remember the smell of the air when i was there.. so fresh and the very high hills when i look outside my bedroom window... i remember everything.. Especially the scenary from up there... all the greenery...

When Motoki, Noriko's (my host) good friend drove us, Carol, Neetha and myself to the mountains, The Tateyama Mountains... it was fantastic.. we had so so much fun there.. it was my first time seeing snow and playing in snow.. i felt so overwhelmed by the white cool surroundings.. We were having a blast having show fights and sliding down the wet snow and then having numb butts. haha.. it was really fun. i took home some stone from the mountain before i left. i also had one of the best sumptious lunches there ever... on the Mountain... in the mids of all the snow outside... It was Absolutely Fantastic... i managed to engrave my name and that of Yong Shun's on the walls along the road leading down the mountain... the walk down was really cold and when the fog came we could hardly see 10 ft in from of us...

A week has gone by...The wait continues

Due to the recent death of the ruler of Dubai, the wait for my result continues... it's nerve wreaking and i'm trying my best not to think about it at all..
My gal friends and i are really waiting anxiously....

in the mean time, all that's happening in my life is work.. at Pastamania.... my Baby's too busy with his FYP Presentation so i hardly meet up with him... going out with my Emirates gals tomorrow to take Sophie out for some Kenny Rogers.. Yummy...

It's over and done..

Finally, my interviews with Emirates are over.. The last one was not as bad at the 2nd interview. It actually was more like a conversation than an interview.. asking about my past experiences with Pastamania and my Students' Union days stating scenarios and how i handled them.
there was lots of laughter and the thing is that.. i was comfortable. i was so myself and they evaluated me on that. one interviewer was writing and the other one asking.. both are really really nice women who were with us from the 2nd interview.
and my so glad i didn't ahve to go through this phase alone. i met two wonderful girlfriends there, Sophie and Fala. Sophie was with SIA and Cathay for a period of time and the other was my roommate on my of my cruise trips, (poly forum; remember the girl who was with the bikini, ya her) and the three of us hit it off right away. we were each others support system and motivators. went for the photo shoot together and made it through the final interview together. i really hope that my girls and i made it. it would be so good to have a familiar face to see there.

anyways.. the results would be in from dubai soon, i'm just waiting for that phonecall.. in the mean time.. check out the video "My Humps" by The Black Eye Peas.. till then peeps...

Final Interview

Tomorrow's my final interview for Emirates. It more or less is to comfirm the selection and they will get back to me after 4 to 6 weeks, it's gonna be a long wait and i'm anticipating it. thereafter, a new chapter in my life begins, to travel the world and to be in places that i though i's only see on postcards and on tv. but hey.. it's coming true. with God by my side and the prayers from all my dearest friends and family and my wonderful darling, Yong Shun.. i'll actually got this far and i'm so thrilled. thank you everyone...
